Life coaching for women toward empowerment, purpose, and building an authentic legacy through the power of stories

Your Story Has Power.

I am Sandra Hunter.

I’m a life coach, an educator, an award-winning author, and a woman of color.

The concrete ceiling is real. Too many professional women of color exert so much effort in climbing ladders in the workplace, only to slam against the barriers of racism and patriarchal attitudes. It can steal the breath from any woman who only wants to succeed, causing her untold stress. It eventually robs her of the ability to work effectively.

This is why I started Wild Women Leaders of Color – to help women release their stress, find their power and purpose, and build an authentic legacy. All through the power of stories.

Despite the name, all women are welcome in this space, whether they’re BIPOC or non-BIPOC. Whether it’s glass or concrete, a ceiling blocks women from reaching the heights they want to achieve. And all of us have stories to tell about it.

Crafting and sharing your story allows you to be seen and heard. Your story gives others the opportunity to appreciate you and learn from your life experiences. Most importantly, it helps you build connections and find healing.

About Me

As a person with Sri Lankan, Anglo-Indian, Portuguese, Dutch, and Scot ancestries, I am no stranger to the racist and sexist attitudes that women of color face daily in the workplace. I have lived it in my college years and my 19+ years as a college professor. I know how the stress of this reality can erode a woman’s confidence.

But I believe that women – all women – can realize the beauty of their own voice and stand in their own power. I have explored this theme in my award-winning stories and novels. And I bring this to the table as I help women transform into Wild Women Leaders of Color in my life-coaching work.
